The Better Bicycles Project
Our aim is to make cycling more convenient and enjoyable. We’re currently developing the BriefBike concept: An e-bike that’s as easy indoors as a roller-case, with room for whatever you need to carry, and it flicks open instantly, ready to ride with a reassuring ‘clunk’’.
BriefBike can be taken with you and easily stored anywhere. Simply keep it by the front door – ready to go in an instant. It folds and unfolds as quickly as an umbrella, making it so easy to move in and out of buildings. When walking around, the neat and convenient roller-case format will never look out of place. It’s even possible to store items within the integrated luggage.
The project is being led by Muelaner Engineering and the University of Bath. Additional funding has been awarded by Innovate UK to accelerate the development of this game-changing urban mobility solution. We are currently building a series of prototypes and testing them with our panel of cyclists.
